Mr. Tom Arsenault
Honorary life-time President
Tom passed away on March 18,2017. His vision and commitment to serving humanity lives on and inspires our work. He owned a construction company for many years, worked as a lumber broker and the International Marketing Manager for Masonite Corporation,prior to joining the Peace Corps in 1988. Posted to Swaziland, where he met and married Elizabeth Bara; they co-founded ASAP in 1992. Tom worked to develop vocational training programs and develop management staff in Zimbabwe as well a managing a carpentry-training-with-production social enterprise in Zimbabwe and On Safari Coffee Initiave in the US that generated ASAP operating support.
Mrs. Elizabeth (Bara) Arsenault
Elizabeth holds a BS in Biology, a certificate of Executive Leadership for Non-Profit Organizations from Emory University and is a certified Master Gardener. Liz co-created ASAP after teaching Math/Science as a Peace Corps volunteer in Swaziland. She worked as Training Director for the US Peace Corps in Zimbabwe, and as a Forestry Technician US Forest Service tree improvement program on Mt. Hood. She has 15 years business management experience prior to taking up her work with ASAP in 1992.
Ms. Dorothy Ramsdell
Dorothy is an accountant and business analyst recently retired from Turner Broadcasting. She has a BA in History, MBA in Accounting and BBA in Computer Science. When not working on her many needlework projects, she practices yang style taijiquan. She is a proud Army Brat and has traveled both personally and professionally in Asia and Europe. Dotti is a world citizen that brings vast experience and financial expertise to ASAP.
Mr. Mark Arsenault
Mark has a successful 26-year career in law enforcement and corrections, where he co-created and co-facilitated a successful in-custody gang diversion and mindset program for state and county inmates. He’s also run a successful publishing business and is a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He is also the founding Director of GAATES, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing recidivism and helping ex-offenders through personal development, career readiness, and success strategies.
Mr. Sean Adkinson
Sean holds a BA in Computer Science and Math from Willamette University. Currently the CTO at Provata Health and previously a senior software developer at Jama Software. Sean leadership and technical skills make him an invaluable addition to our Board.
